Bone broth every day is one of the best medicine for you. It heals leaky gut, aids in weight loss, provides nutrients and minerals, great for skin, hair and nails, slows down aging process, reduces inflammation and great for digestion. Here’s a great way to add bon broth into your diet along with all the vegetables and great protein source to make it an awesome meal! You can have this for lunch or dinner.
When you don’t have time to make home made bone broth, you can always use this one which is one of my favorite store bought bone broth.
Hearty Vegetable Soup w/ Ground Pork and Bacon

- 1 cup bone broth
- ¼ cup filtered water
- ½ cup cauliflower
- 2 cups spinach
- 1 small tomato
- 1 chopped garlic clove
- 2 tablespoons of chopped green onion
- ½ cup Organic ground pork
- 2 slices of bacon
- 1 teaspoon of sea salt (divided by 2)
- ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper (divide by 2)
- 1-2 teaspoons of ghee
- 1 tbs of Brain Octane or MCT Oil
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
For the bacon:
-Heat cast iron medium low until it gets hot.
-place bacon in the skillet and turn down heat to low
-flip every often so it doesn’t burn. This will take about 10-15 minutes t o slow cook. Key is to keep flipping. Don’t let it sit over a minute or it will burn.
-Set aside on paper towel
For the ground pork:
-Season pork with sea salt and cayenne pepper
-use the same skillet but pour out bacon fat and give it a little wipe. The grease will still be there for the pork.
-Heat skillet to medium and let it get hot. Should be quick since it’s already warm from the bacon.
-add the pork
-sautee until cooked and stir to prevent burning
-set aside in a bowl
For the soup:
-In a small pot, add broth, water, cauliflower and tomatoes and cook over medium high heat. When it starts to boil, lower heat to simmer for 5 minutes.
-Add ghee, sea salt, cayenne pepper, garlic and stir. (add more salt if needed to taste)
-Add spinach and simmer for a minute
-Pour into a large bowl. Add ground pork on top.
-Add chopped bacon on top.
-Sprinkle with Brain Octane or MCT oil
-Sprinkle green onions and serve
